I have experienced several careers including Truck Driver and Mobile Home Hauler, Supervisor for the Young Adult Conservation Corps (at the Erie National Wildlife Refuge and the City of Meadville), Technical Recruiter, Loan Officer, and various positions in sales and marketing with several small companies. I have 15+ years of experience in hospitality with the Marriott Hotels, the Holiday Inns, the Double Tree Guest Suites, as well as experience with several free standing restaurants including Christopher's and Va Bene Restaurants in the Phoenix area. I am a Marriott Certified Trainer in the food and beverage service area and have been a certified TIPS® trainer for 7 years. I recently received a letter of recognition from Senator John McCain for my work in teaching the TIPS® program at Maricopa High School relating to the prevention of alcohol-related incidents in Arizona.

I have lived in Maricopa, AZ for the past 7 years. My first year of teaching was in East Phoenix working with “at risk students” at the 9^th through 12^th grade level, and this is my 4th year at Maricopa High School teaching Culinary Arts & Life Connections. Teaching is my passion and life & hospitality are my experiences.
